History
A history of innovation
With a 20 year history, Presteigne Charter is one of the world’s leading broadcast dry hire and systems rental specialists. In 2005 we opened our first European office in Cologne and in 2006 we acquired specialist company Microwave Video Systems, further expanding our RF capabilities. In 2007 we expanded our European reach by opening our Netherlands operation in Hilversum, along with a second office in Germany, this time in Munich. In 2008 a key development took place with the acquisition of Charter Broadcast. As Managing Director Mike Ransome commented at the time, the benefit to clients is the breadth of the equipment and technology we can offer – which is second to none – along with the very best people and the true expertise they bring. As the first UK company to work in HD fused with substantial investment in HD equipment, we’re innovators at heart.

Presteigne Charter now operates from bases in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific, employs 90 people and invests millions of pounds in new equipment each year. Our parent company, Avesco Group Plc, is a market-leading international media services group which provides services to the corporate presentation, entertainment, sport and broadcast markets by bringing together audio visual, staging and production expertise and studio facilities.
